(NEW) Self-Determination Project Update: October 2019
The initial 2,500 participants for the Self-Determination Program were selected by DDS in a lottery held 10/1/18 – locally we had 207 individuals selected in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
Since then, the majority of those selected have either moved forward with the process or have decided to disenroll, leaving openings for others to be selected. On October 25, 2019 DDS posted an implementation update outlining the deadlines and information related to the next lottery selection scheduled for 11/22/19. Please read the update here
Locally, if you were selected in the original lottery and have not attended an orientation yet, you have until 12/6/19 to do so, or your spot will be forfeited and another participant will be selected.
To find out if you were selected to participate, you may enter your UCI (Unique Client Identifier) number at SDP Verification.
If you were not selected in the initial lottery, your name is still on the list for possible selection in future lottery selections that will be conducted to fill any spots left by people who disenroll, move out of state, etc.
Orientation Registration Information:
Individuals who were selected in the lottery will need to attend a required orientation before starting the Self Determination Program. If you were selected in the 10/1/18 lottery you need to attend an orientation by 12/6/19 or your spot will be forfeited.
