Self-Determination Project Update:  July 22, 2020

The initial 2,500 participants for the Self-Determination Program were selected by DDS in a lottery held 10/1/18 –  locally  we had 207 individuals selected in  San Diego and Imperial Counties. Since then, the majority of those selected have either moved forward with the process or have decided to disenroll, leaving openings for others to be selected. On November 22, 2019 DDS conducted another lottery and selected 61 ‘new’ participants in San Diego and Imperial Counties.  Letters were mailed out by DDS to those selected. To find out if you were selected to participate, you may enter your UCI (Unique Client Identifier) number at SDP Verification. If you were selected, you will need to attend a required orientation before moving forward. See the section below titled ‘Orientation Registration Information’ for more information on upcoming dates.

If you were not selected in either lottery, your name is still on the list for possible selection in future lottery selections that will be conducted to fill any spots left by people who disenroll, move out of state, etc.
